Course selection for life sciences
Hi,
I was just wondering if I could take both math 1LS3 in the first term and 1A03 in the second term.
I checked the master time table and there was no 1A03 in the second term.
Does that mean if I do not take 1A03, my future for selecting any math courses close here?
And meaning I cannot take both courses?

and

I was looking at Level 1 test schedule for term 1 and 2,
but I do not see any test date for Psych 1XX3 in second term
does that mean there is no test for this subject in the course?

lol, we don't have enough of life sci courses threads, someone should start a few more.

And as far as the math courses, you can only take one of the two.

Hey,

I had the same question but looked further into the second year courses. The Life Science specific math courses are considered prerequisites for all the second year math courses. So even though your taking the life science version they leave you with the same options as if you took the original math courses. Most of them require the Math 1LT3 (second level) life science course though.

Psych 1XX3 does not have tests, just an exam at the end. However, it DOES have weekly quizzes on avenue that you must do. I counts for quite a bit of your mark, over 20%. The course also has a project around....second midterm time which counts for 10% of your mark.

For life sci math, you either take the 1A stream or the 1L stream. Each of their respective courses are equivalent when acting as prerequisites. 1A stream has less direct application to the life sciences, while 1L does.
