The instructor may not have activated the course yet, sometimes they don't get around to it until a few days before class so just keep checking.

Jesse.C says thanks to shelbs for this post.

You should send them an email. Its 3 days before class start, if they havn't activated yet then they probably don't know how to or forgot about it.

There's absolutely no need to email the profs and bother them about not having activated the courses yet. If you can't see the course after your first class (whenever that first class may be), THEN there is cause for concern.

If they complaint, you should remind them that they are your employees (in an extend) and your tuition is paying for their salary.
Yes, but there is no need to. You need to understand that profs are very busy this time of the year with grant writing, and especially with course administration stuff now that school is starting. Flooding them with emails (on top of the mass of email they regularly receive) will not make it better. Just be patient. It's not like there is anything important that is going to be covered the first class. Some courses might not even use Avenue. If it isn't up by the end of the week, then you can express your concern.

Also, profs are not here to teach, rather that is their second priority. The main priority is their research.

I have no idea what the big deal is...they will activate avenue when needed. Not to mention I don't even have a Fall 2013 tab up yet.
