Cross-listed courses
If it took a cross listed course (like earth sc 1g03 instead of envir sci 1g03) and i need this course for my program do i need to switch to envir sci 1g03? im pretty sure its ok but just checking.

Normally, it would be okay to take either course because they're the same basically - but for requirements purpose, I think you need to take the one that you need. If it's full, contact the department/faculty and they will open a seat for you.

I'm a bit confused by what you're asking, but for all the enviro courses it doesn't matter at all which one you take, whether if it's earth sc 1G03 or envir sc 1G03. They are the same. I've never encountered a problem and I've always signed up for the "Earth Sc" cross-listed courses just to keep it consistent, but it's never been a prerequisite problem for me because it wasn't "Envir Sc".

I don't see why it would matter if you're registered under Earth Sc 1G03 or Envir Sc 1G03 for any of the programs. Unless they use that to defer between students who take the course as an elective and as a prereq for the program...Now you have me doubting myself. lol

Feel free to contact the Department if you're really that unsure - and if they say it's not the same please let me know. lol

You could email Luc Bernier: http://www.science.mcmaster. ca/geo..._us/index.html

Or just ask an academic advisor.

Yep ur rite, it is the same exact thing lol i got confused by others who said you should have envir sci instead of earth sci but since its cross listed its ok. the department knows this and will automatically consider it as one and the same.
