Cross-Platform Games
Nexuiz --> http://www.alientrap.org/nexuiz/
Tremulous --> http://tremulous.net/

These two games are completely free. Another one (not free) is Enemy Territory; Quake Wars. All three games are a lot of fun, and do not exclude people who do not have windows on their Machines.

Would it be possible to play any of these sometimes?

PS: All are First Person Shooters.
pps: Is there a list of games that are frequently played?

Cheers

an offline installation file would be needed with LAN support.

lan parties with MLC are structured Free for all, meaning, for the whole event i have a 32 player cs1.6 server running dedicated, then people have something to play, as we arrange small 8 player dota, unreal, etc, matches, so if you get enough people willing to give your game a shot, then sure.

Quake wars is an awesome team based game. I would love to play it on a lan.

I have the offline installers for all these games somewhere. Just have to find them again in my collection of DVD's. However, I do not have a version for quake wars for windows. The other two games I can provide.

I can vouch for Tremulous and Nexuiz as saying they are amazing games!

I used to play Tremulous all of the time during the summer. Very good FPS with great RTS features (base-expansion, protection, etc).

I just tried Nexiuz, and im impressed by the multi platform distribution, very nice and smooth graphics.

At Tuesdays event i will create a dedicated Nexiuz server at some point during the night and see how many people get into it.

I wish I could go to Tuesdays lan :(. I got a midterm on Wednesday and I am a bit behind. I'll try and make it to the next one though!
