How crowded does The Pulse get?
Are there usually alot of people working out? Will I ever have to wait to use free weights, machines, treadmills, etc? What were the peak times?

anonanon987, traveler10 all say thanks to Dumbo for this post.

It can get pretty busy depending on the time you go. The treadmills do get taken quite quickly. I normally try to go in the mornings because it's not too busy then but even if you do go some other time during the day it's never really that bad. Don't worry about it

The power racks go fairly quickly around lunch and the 4-5pm hours I find. Along with some of the free weight benches.

Outside of those times its usually wide open. There are frequency charts inside The Pulse that show peak hours by month.

Close to the front, to the right of the first water fountain.

Damn. I'll be home during the weekends so that wouldn't benefit me in anyway.

If you come back on Sunday early enough, still pretty empty

The gym is busy. Really, really busy.

I find that any time between 10-4 is out of control. I had a 2 hour break between 9:30 and 11:30 last year, so I would go, and as I left, it would get super busy.

Weekends are good, and nights are meh.

I usually went in the evenings and I never had a problem finding a machine, I would use eliptical or bike, I also never had a problem with the weights either. The only time I've seen it really busy is the first week - 2 weeks of school, before people really have any mid terms and aren't that busy yet, after that it died down.

I find it's usually packed in the first months of the semester - Sept and Jan, but afterwards it's pretty okay.

it's pretty busy at most times, but it's not like you need to ever wait long to use whatever it is you'd like to use. probably the busiest times are around 3-8 pm which is when a lot of people are finishing class. during weekends the gym is almost empty, especially weekend mornings. also, mornings during anytime of the week are a good time to go too
