cutoff for hon. bio?
Does anyone know what the cutoff was this year?

I believe it's a 6 cumulative GPA. I know you have to have a 6 in both Bio 1M03 and 1A03.

Two of my friends DID NOT get in with a 7.5 and 7.9 CA.

6 is the minimum, right. I got in with an 8.9...though this was for H Bio Origins Research spec..

No it's higher than that, it varies each year

So are speaking with an academic advisor from Faculty of Science the cutoffs where between 8.6-9.3 for the various Biology programs.

I believe last year it was 7.8, but of course it changes from year to year. Contact Kathy McItosh in the Biology department at [email protected] if you want to find out the specific cut-offs for this year.

No worries! Keep Life Science II and shadow Honours Bio II and transfer into the program after second year. A lot of courses are cross-listed (in common) and so, you can get your average up and transfer into it.

it really sucks that my average was only 0.1 credits off

I feel your pain! I was .1 credits off the cutoffs for Honours Bio Physio and it was my first choice.

I believe you just ask to be transferred and they'll do it if there's a seat open (I think it's the academic advisers, but it may be the associate dean's office...)
