DC++ is easiest. You can find tons of alternatives, try them and see if you like it

It'll be an extreme distraction

One point...ApexDC uses the DC++ client but has a much better GUI in my opinion. That's why I personally recommend it.

I think you mean 10 actual megabytes. 10 megabits is only like ~1.12 MB/s lol.

No. McMaster has extremely fast upload speed (well compared to what your typical residential line has). So if you're off campus and are downloading from someone on campus, you'll probably max out your connection's download speed. Your upload speed to people on campus, however, will be terrible. lol

I know the difference between bits and bytes, but last time I saw DC++ measured downloads in megabits.

Also, McMaster has great upload speeds BUT it's firewalled. You'd be able to download at a nice rate from a McMaster student if the port was open....

Some people don't realize we're talking about Teksavvy when we refer to the 200GB/unlimited stuff haha.

Great ISP..I just moved from my apartment to my new house, and they set me up with my internet in 24 hours! Usually I'm waiting 5 days at least but they hooked me up nice and fast.
