Deans Honour List- What does it mean?
Hey guys!

What does it mean to make it to the deans list for one year (final year specifically)? Do we get a certificate or anything or is it just a note on the transcript?

Thanks

Sessional Average of 9.5+ warrants a Dean's List honour for the year.

Engineers don't get a certificate, but I believe other faculties do give a certificate to their students.

I was in science, on Dean's List all four years and I never got a certificate, nor did I get an email advising me of where I could get one.

If you're in science you go to the dean's office and ask for it.

Yup.
"At McMaster, graduates receive this distinction on their diploma if they achieve a GPA of at least 9.5 upon graduation. In the convocation ceremony programs, these graduates also have a star beside their name, with a footnote that reads ‘with distinction’."
