I love this show. I have a poster of Dexter behind my desk that a friend purchased for me after a rough day. It made EVERYTHING better.
It's so brilliantly executed. (pun intended) One of my favourite lines was when he was killing that therapist way back when and is asked to close his eyes.
"This is ****ing ridiculous. I could be killing him right now."
I also love how he laughed in the face of the cop who killed her family.
Epic.
Can't wait for Sunday.

Yeah, even though the last few episodes really picked up, the season as a whole was a little disappointing and didn't really have any effects on the overall storyline. The ending was way too fairy-tale, I was expecting some presence we forgot about to take out Lumen as she was on the nost of the boat, but we got nothing.
I'm also fairly sure Quinn knows Dexter killed Liddy, but he's just going to let that go, and subsequently, the whole investigation ends for some reason? and even if the blood on the shoe was "proven" not to be Quinn's, that still doesn't explain Quinn's fingerprints being all over the scene and his name being on the surveillance equipment rental forms.

How did they solve the Barrel Girls case if they didn't find Chase?
It was a crappy season finale...

Classic example of writers getting lazy...
Happens on House almost every season finale since season 2...the aftermath of which by the way was the death rattle of the show's integrity.
Man, they really decided to wrap everything up conveniently, also, wtf is up with Dexter getting into car crashes all the time?
IMO would have been more interesting if Deb had seen Dexter helping Lumen, but the writers were too lazy.

She called it in
they found evidence of chase being there as well as the rape room, various evidence there
but yes it was contrived and lame

Yeah but they still don't know what happened to chase.
