I'm confused about the "Gate Price" for Wonderland. Are you saying this is what it costs if you pay at the entrance to Wonderland?
An adult general admission ticket on their website is $40, and a brand new season pass is $79. So I can't imagine it costs $63 for one visit when you pay at the gate. Unless I'm missing something?

And the junior/senior ticket is cheaper on the Wonderland site than at Compass, so I don't really get the "savings" part? :/

Yes, gate price (purchasing your ticket at the park when you get there) is $55.99 plus taxes, which is $63.27 with taxes included. Our tickets with taxes included are $40. The gate price is not listed online, but this is what the company representative gave us as the 2011 gate price. This is a saving of $23.27.
You are correct, the tickets online are not that far away in price, but they are not including taxes (General Admission online including taxes is approximately $45.19 (still a saving of $5.19) and Child/Senior is $37.27 (we save $3.27 still)) so even with the online discount, there is still ample saving opportunity.
Don’t forget we also have pay once visit twice passes, which are $54.00. This means that you can go twice at a cost of $27.00 each. Also a huge saving.

The seasons passes are a great deal! Unfortunately we do not sell them (although we are looking into this - keep posted!). They are to encourage people to visit more than once, but for many people, once is enough for a season, in which case single day tickets are the way to go. We are looking into working with Wonderland to get access to selling season passes as well, but for right now we have the day passes.

I'm just wondering why the May 14 Canada's Wonderland tickets are so cheap. Is something happening on that day? Is the discount specific to compass only?

And how busy do you guys think it would be on that date?

The May 14th tickets are so cheap because a group went through us to order group tickets. This is the price that is given to groups of 15 people or more. After the group purchased all of the tickets they need, we have 7 left over so we are selling them to the general public so that you can all take advantage of the opportunity to save some money and go on a weekend before the busy time of the season.

Anyone buying these extra tickets would in no way be affiliated with the group that bought them, they just need to be used on that day, otherwise we give them back to Wonderland, and everyone missed out on saving that money and getting to see the new stuff that they have this year before the busy time of year.

That being said, anyone with large groups are welcome to email us and request that we order these tickets for them at a similar price. We get great discounts through the consignment program we have set up with Canada’s Wonderland.

I don’t expect the park to be exceptionally busy, just based on my past experiences. Schools are still in, and many parents don’t take vacations until later into the summer. That being said, the weather forecast for the day keeps going back and forth between nice and not so nice, so that could also make it less busy.

I used to work at admissions at wonderland.. if a company buys a bulk group set of tickets the price is reduced due to the amount of business being brought in. You'll get a long ticket with a coupon for pizza pizza or something similar on the end of it.

The company also needs to specify a certain date and May 14 happend to be that day. As for how busy the park would be- it depends since its only open on weekends for now. Splashworks opens in June.
