Psych 1X03: Textbook was useless. (Unless you keen on reading & going in depth on the topics)
Get the coursewares - they're designed for the modules.
(Modules = online lectures prepared as slides/videos)

right now i have econ 1bb3, math 1a03, and math 1b03 textbooks in pdf files. after researching i think the two math txtbks that i have are up-to-date however my econ 1bb3 txtbk is 1 edition behind (5th)
i searched up the txtbk title for comp sci 1ba3 on google but i didnt get any luck :/
so my concern is are there any coursewares i would need to purchase for these courses (like -Ish- said)??

The Psych 1X03 textbook wasn't useless last year since some of the weekly quiz questions were solely from the textbook and not the lectures.

yea, you will need the psych book to do well on quizzes unless you get your friends to do em. exam doesnt have much textbook stuff so youre fine for psych exam without textbook. math 1a03 and 1b03 have online assignments which arent mandatory but buy them anyways. if you have the pdfs for those books, youre fine. get the online assignments tho.

The quizzes are online and you have 20 mins (i think) to complete it...so most ppl do it in groups.

math 1a03 has online assignments which you have the option of buying yourself and it being a part of your grade. it also has assignments which the profs assign which you hand in. i recommend the online assignments.

Just like Silver said, you'll need the psych textbook because the majority of the quizzes, if not all, will have 2-3 questions on the material from the book and there are only 10 questions per quiz. I didn't bother with the courseware and did just fine.

Psych 1X03 Curriculum has changed. Wait until you're in the course to see if the textbook is useful.
I wouldn't purchase any book you can find online, and I'm pretty sure you can find those online.
Never ever buy a textbook. You can find them online or in the library. There's no need to waste your money.
P.S. I have 2 midterms from Math 1A03 from 2010. I can meet you and give them to you on welcome week if you want (free obviously). Email me if you're interested ([email protected] om)

I just found a sweet site www.booksprice.com and you type in the ISBN and it will tell you which website has the cheapest book.
I just bought 3 books and saved $161 from the titles new prices!
And one of the books that i couldnt seem to find ANYWHERE showed up on this site, and I saved $11
