Double Major question
So, I want to double major, I'm in the Sociology program(yeah, I know....) and will most likely double in Health Studies. When I reviewed the registrar page, it says "36 units-courses specified for the other subject". Can these be any 12 Health Studies related classes, or do they absolutely have to be from the 'required' list? So many of these required classes seem redundant.

By "other subject" I'm fairly certain they mean the non-health-studies major (i.e. sociology). Those 36 units are meant for you to fulfill the sociology requirements. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. And it never hurts to call/meet with an academic advisor to double check.

Quiver I believe you are correct.

The link you have shows you what your Health Studies requirements are for a Combined Honours in Health Studies and another subject. You have to fulfill both the Health Studies and Sociology requirements which is here, http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /calen...13/pg1746.html as well as the other link you were looking at.

Hope that helps
