Double Minor Overlap?
Does anyone know if there's any overlap allowed between minors? I received a bunch of transfer credits from the college program I graduated from so rather than graduate a year early, I'm planning on taking a double minor.

I'm currently an Anthropology major and I want to take the Minor in Archaeology and a Minor in GIS.

I know that 6 units can overlap between major and minor, but there are a handful of GIS courses (which I've already taken) listed under the Archaeology minor.

I've asked the SocSci office and they never heard of anyone doing that and told me to ask the Anthro department, who directed me to SocSci and the Geo department, who also referred me back to SocSci, so its been a frustrating process trying to plan out my courses

Archaeology is under the umbrella of an Anthropology degree so I'm confused how you would minor in archaeology - do you mean the interdisciplinary minor in archaeology? Not sure how that would be feasible while majoring in Anthro as well....

Yes I'm referring to the Interdisciplinary Minor in Archaeology, and it is definitely possible do complete while being an anthro major since its still only 24 units. Even if I didn't have transfer credits (and thus able to take extra upper year courses), I would just have to take extra anthropology credits for my electives outside degree requirements.

Like I said earlier, a few of the GIS Minor courses are also on the Interdisciplinary Archaeology list so thats why I need to know overlap allowance
