Early Admission????????Line ar Schoool
Mcmaster states that I must keep an 85% based on my high school graduation requirements INCLUDING my required program courses. Does this mean i need to keep an OVERALL average? Meaning all my courses? Please help I'm scared as I dont think it will be able this average.

Okay I dont think you guys get the question... So Kin is asking for 4 courses. Eng 12, Math 12, Bio 12 and a provincially exam course. And my average on these four are 95%. However, I am taking other mandatory courses such as Francais Langue 12 which I am doing very poorly in. This is not used in my admission average, but I am just wondering if mcmaster will look at this mark as a "final overall"

All its saying is:

No matter what u get in each course, ur FINAL AVG MUST be >= 85 in order to obtain an admission

Eg)

PHYS: 97
CALC: 91
CHEM: 61
FUNC: 89

OVER ALL = (97+91+61+89)/4 = 84.5% ==> which means NO GO

out of curiosity, is this the entrance AVG or have u actually received an official letter saying ur accepted to MAC? Coz typically once u are accepted, the AVG to maintain is 80% What program are u applying for? Sounds like Engineering or Science

Yes but is it counting only my final average of the four courses required? Or all my courses combined.

I'm in a linear school, so i have 8 courses. Including an online course, and I am quite confident I won't be able to get over 85 with all of them. I'm in bc btw.

Yeah, work u ass off in the next 3 months and u CAN make it.

If u could get accepted to Kin with "Mid- to high 80s" (based on Kin requirements on eINFO), im sure it won't be hard to get it up to 85. Also ask the teachers, im sure they will be willing to help u.

I think it's better if you call mac directly and ask.
