Earth Day 2010!

Happy Earth Day Everyone!

Remember Earth is the only planet we've got, so take care of it! 2010 is the fortieth year that Earth Day has been observed worldwide, and twentieth year in Canada. About one billion people from 190 countries celebrate Earth Day every year.

If you've got some free time over the next couple of days, check out these events:

Thursday April 22
Friday April 23
Saturday April 24
Sunday April 25
If you are going to be outside of Hamilton (Toronto, Oshawa, Markham, Guelph, Kitchener, Brantford, Mississauga, Ottawa etc) there are tons of other events going on as well. Check the Earth Day Canada site for more details.

Carl Sagan is probably the greatest, most articulate, interesting human being to ever be produced in all the history of humankind.

Thanks for posting that.

How can people look up to David Suzuki!? Haven't you seen the commercial when he broke into some guy's basement to unplug his fridge? Has anyone heard of Breaking and Entering? What a criminal...

Great movie, great message; was quite an 'emotional rollercoaster'. The Q&A with Simon Hutchins was excellent too: there were actually too many questions for him to answer in what little time there was.. haha

Things i've learned from End of the Line: we're pretty much ****ed as a species if we don't stop the subsidies and put that money into conservation, and stop eating and supporting the capture of endangered fish.

Am i the only one interested in this stuff?

Nope, not at all.

I just wasn't able to go since I moved back home. I've wanted to see the Cove for some time as well.
