Easy first year course, advice needed! :)
This September 2012 I will be entering McMaster for engineering 1 and I saw that I get one elective(correct me if I am wrong) and I am looking for an EASY course that would really help take the work load off. I like math and physics and am not the best at writing. Any advice would be awesome!

Most people in your position would take Econ 1B03.

Econ 1B03/1BB3/ Geog 1HB3 and Envir Sci 1A03 worked out nicely for me.

Thanks for the advice. When it says " Three lectures; one term" what does that mean? Three lectures per week? In addition, what would the difference be between 1B03 and 1BB3?

Would this be the right place to look? --> registrar.mcmaster.ca /CALENDAR/2012-13/pg1197.html

1b03: micro econ
1bb3: macro econ

to ur q will have a total of 3 hours of lecture in one week. Say Tuesday, Wed and Friday at 1:30pm to 2:30 pm Therefore 3 hours altogether

Nope, you take 2 electives in first year engineering:
http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /CALEN...13/pg1197.html
6 units means 2 courses, because 1 course is usually (at least in first year engineering) 3 units...programming is a 4 unit course (1d04).

A lot of first year engineering students take Econ 1b03&1bb3 (micro and macro econ). You should really take an elective based on what you like.
Here is a list of electives (remember to choose what interests you, so it can be an average booster!):
http://www.eng.mcmaster.ca/documents/electives.pdf

Good luck !

The engineering elective list is pretty extensive so take something you're interested in! For me, that was Hth Age 1BB3, which is not difficult but requires class attendance and doing the readings in order to do well. Be sure to check out reviews for more about courses you're interested in:http://www.macinsiders.com/forumdisplay.php?f=81

Music 1AA3, no music background needed, 3 tests (20% each) and an exam (40%), no tutorial.

I would recommend one of the introductory Anthropology courses. They're really interesting and relatively easy to do well in if you do the readings and attend class.

Either of the introductory Indigenous Studies courses are phenomenal! I absolutely love Professor King; he is a great lecturer and is fair in his marking.
