Thanks for the update!

But, I already registered for a June 30th Academic Counselling for the Life Scencies START program and the registration for the ESOP only begins at July 2. And the ESOP says that I have to "choose the Easy Summer Orientation Program that is occurring the same day but does not conflict with your Academic Advising Session."

So can I just have my academic counselling on June the 30th and the ESOP on the July 2nd? Or do I have to have my ESOP and the Academic counseling on the same date?

You can if you really wish. However, it is suggested to try and go to both on the same day. Is there an ability for you to change the date of your START program?

I can change it, but I prefer registering my courses on the first date of START.

I don't mind going to Hamilton-Toronto back and forth I would probably have the START program on June the 30th and the ESOP on the July 2nd, unless there's a big consequence of not having them on the same day.... (??)

this doesn't exactly relate to the ESOP registration, but more to the summer academic counselling registration. the site says that most faculties require pre-registration for the academic counselling sessions, and i just want to verify that nursing is one of those programs that don't require it. i can't seem to find a registration form of any sort soo .. just want to make sure i'm not the only one.

I have no idea, actually. Unfortunately I have no way of figuring it out better than you do. Your best bet is to call their undergrad office and ask.

Correct, you just pick the course, and if applicable, what semester you want to take it in.

There might be the odd courses where you pick sections...

Are any of you guys actually planning on going to these sessions? Even after course registration. Personally, I'm thinking of going, it wouldn't hurt afterall.

You don't need to go to the academic advising. I would recommend going to the summer orientation though. You can learn a lot.

But here's the schedule and you can decide yourself: http://fye.mcmaster.ca/Summer%20Orie...ER %20ap1.doc
