Econ 1bb3/1b03 + Aplia
I'm going to be taking both econs and I know you have to get Aplia.
How much does Aplia cost?
It comes with the e-textbook, correct? Is that thrown in with it or do I have to buy the e-textbook separately?
Is there anyway they can lower Aplia cost if I'm gonna end up using it in both semesters for my two courses?

Unless they changed the prices, it'll cost somewhere between 50-60 bucks USD for just Aplia access alone.
I think there's some sort of package deal if you take both econs in one term, but I'm not entirely sure.

Oh gosh, I'd rather spend $100 on a textbook I know I can resell.
Urgh..

Jeff, if you purchase both textbooks used, how do you go about the aforementioned e-text and Aplia access?

You'll have to buy Aplia from their website. (Comes with E-text)

Congrats on 1.5 grand, Greg.
Maybe I can switch to a cheaper faculty.

It's an electronic version of the textbook.

Hey I was wondering whether we purchase Principles of Micro/Macro-Econ written by Mankiw et al, or just by Mankiw.
I can't access the Titles website for some reason and have to confirm a used book order with someone

So is it worth buying the ECON 1B03 Textbook? or should one just buy the Aplia?

It depends if you like to study out of the book or if you can read off the computer screen for extended periods of time.

What's the cheapest I can expect from a used Econ 1B03/Econ 1BB3?
I've heard $35 to $40 bucks so far. Does it get lower? Should I wait till 2nd term or buy them now?

I'm pretty sure it'll work. Apparently it uses a flash player for the e-book. As for the online assignments it probably uses the browser (not sure though). At any rate you can always boot camp windows on your Mac.

After the aplia subscription expires you can't access it again.
If you ever decide to take upper year econ, having a textbook handy is good for a refresher =/
