Electives involving Law?
I'm in the social sciences, and after I'm done my undergrad I would like to go into Law school. Are there any electives for first year, that you would recommend I take? Anything that is a pre-requisite for a 2nd year course involving law?

Thanks

Social Work 1A06 talks a lot about policy, and it leads to social work electives that you can take in level III like Justice and Social Welfare. I think poli sci would be a good course to take. I think there may be philosophy of law in upper years, so a first year phil course would be helpful.

If you're interested in philosophy, there is PHILOS 1B03 ("Philosophy, Law and Society").

In third year, you can also take POL SCI 3NN6 ("Public Law") which deals with constitutional law.

Another third year course is PHILOS 3Q03 ("Philosophy of Law") which requires at least six units of Philosophy.

Finally, I would recommend HUMAN 2C03 ("Critical Thinking"). While it doesn't relate directly to law, critical thinking skills are essential for law school. I believe there was another course that revolved around assessing and making arguments, but I can't remember it at the moment.
