What Electives to Take For First Year Life Sciences
Hi guys,
I am going to be attending McMaster university next year for life sciences, and I was wondering what some easy electives were, which could help boost my GPA.
Thanks,

My friend took linguistics and was pretty easy. He didn't know the stuff after midterm 2 and that was 25% of the exam and still came out with a 90.
For myself I took double economics. Econ 1B03 is easy (a bit harder now), and just took macro on top of that.

the easiest electives are those you will enjoy...
That said micro and macro econ are pretty good mark boosters

The econs are good! I also took Enviro Sci 1A03 and it was pretty straightforward.

I took both econs and found them quite easy. But I would have to agree with previous poster in that you'll do well in courses that you have an interest in.

GEOG 1HB3
ENVIR SC 1A03
At the end of the day, like the others have said..it depends on you and what you genuinely find interesting.

Econ is boring. My mark dropped to 70 after I stopped going to the lectured because of that
I would suggest some language you've studied before and peace studies.

It's only boring if you find it boring (obvious). I found it interesting and the assessments were easy.

take what you like. trust me. you like the environment? take an enviro class. you like history? take a history class. you like space? take astro. you will get more out of a class you like. i wouldnt waste money on a class i dont have an interest in unless im forced to take it.

Although it does depend on what you like, if you have a slight interest in something that's easy it will usually work out (Econ/Enviro for example). But linguistics or peace studies or something would be the death of me just because I would honestly not be able to read a single page of that stuff, no matter how easy the material is.
