Our prof is not posting previous years' tests or any sample test because "the programming language got changed"
is there a lot of stuff from the textbook? or studying the lecture & tutorial slides should be enough?

When I did 1D04 2 years ago, it was a whole lot of reading code and finding out where you missed a semi colon or something. ****ing stupid ass test. Easy, but stupid.
My prof for mihkail? not sure if yours is the same/same course.

I had Dr. Farmer for a second year programming course. You can find the tests for that course here. Obviously the content isn't the same but it might give you an idea of the types of questions he may ask, or maybe not, I don't know.

last year it was all about understanding code. not much stuff from a book. if you understand how to write and read code then you should be fine.

Dr. Farmar loves his recursions and loops so make sure you study that well.

He loves to ask questions that have nothing to do with helping you build programming skills. (ex from last year. "true or false: alan turing recieved the nobel prize for computing".)
