Engineering 1D04 IDE
Hey everyone, I'll be taking Eng 1D04 next term, and I was wondering what IDE they use in the course? I heard it's C#, so will we be using Visual C# or some other IDE? Just want to get a feel for it ahead of time, I enjoy programming in my spare time anyway. Thanks!

Thanks Nila! I figured it would be Visual C#, but I just wanted to confirm it first.

Also, sure Strongwiller, always happy to make new friends/help people out. Come 2nd semester lemme know if you need a hand at all. We'll probably be starting with the basics though, so you should be able to catch on pretty easily.

The course does start with the basics though it will ramp up the difficulty very quickly after the first couple of weeks. If you have done programming before, you'll most likely be fine but I suggest that for people new to programming you make sure to attend the tutorials even if they are really boring the first few times.

8:30am Q & A session is the best 1 hour of programming, you will learn so much. Since ELM is still new and stuff, I remember when the old WEBct, TA post their programs so you can debug and look at it for practice.
