Engineering 1 Timetable
Could someone give me timetable a go over? I've attached it below. Term 2 seems more evened out than 1 in my opinion - I'm just wondering whether they're all right as they are. Do I need to change anything?

Err, if the pictures are unclear let me know. I just have no idea how I ought to upload the timetables.

Thanks

First thing I notice is that you have a chem lab and physics lab back to back on wed. term 1. That is going to be tough unless you made it so one week its chem lab and the other is physics tutorial which may be alright but I can't really see the lab/tutorial numbers since the image is tiny.

Just upload the image to imageshack or something and then put it directly in your post.

I'll see what I can do about the images. For what it's worth, the lab/tutorials numbers are:

E O W
CHEM 1E03 L26
ABB 126
11:30 - 14:20

and

E O W
PHYSICS 1D03 T10
BSB 115
14:30 - 16:20

E O W

PHYSICS 1D03 L10
ROOM: TBA
14:30 - 17:20

If it's the Physics tutorial that comes after the Chemistry lab every other week, would that be all right or would that also be tough?

Thanks

The labs might sync up after thanksgiving. Some classes like to skip 2 weeks but others like to skip 1 week and they end up synchronizing.

Hm. Would it be possible to move the Physics lab to another day and leave the tutorial as is?

I think there supposed to be in the same time slot (ie. choosing lab 26 you must have tutorial 26 aswell). Try separating them. Do you get an error message like a conflict or something?

My suggestion would be to move that chem lab to Tues. and try to get it so that one week you have a physics lab and the other is a chem lab. To do this make it so one lab number is even and the other is odd.

Thanks for the replies. When say the number is odd/even, your referring to the something like this right? Ex: L23/L24.

And also, just wondering, why is it so tough to do two labs in succession? I'm just curious . Not having started uni, it seems like one could manage - though I'm sure those who've actually done it would disagree. Hm.

How long until SOLAR closes?

Edit: Why, oh why is MUGSI full at this time?

Yes, that's what it means by odd/even.

It's tiring to do 6 hours of labs in a row. Also, if there are formal lab reports they are due on the same day. You also have to do prelabs for the same day.

But the last two "problems" are only a problem if you procrastinate. You'll quickly learn that in university you can't afford to procrastinate that much and it's best to not procrastinate at all.

SOLAR closes sometime in March. You can drop/add term 1 and 3 courses until September 17th and term 2 courses until January 11th.

Dr. Provatas was, in my opinion, the best first year prof. I've had.

He will go out of his way to explain theories and relevant "real-world" applications of the topics.

He always asks the class if they understood what he just said before he moves on to the next part of
the lecture.

He encourages students to think, analyze, and formulate theories during lectures and I think that it's a
really great method of teaching.

He also tends to tl;dr about how people are not only disturbing himself, but also their fellow students.

I don't think he's teaching math anymore. You guys get Gabardo, who I hear is much worse
