I took Micro and Macro Econ. as my first year electives. Now that I got accepted into Electrical Engineering and management Econ 1BB3 is one of my second year courses.
I wanted to know that do I have to take another first year elective as obviously I won't get credits for the same course twice ??

I don't have any electives. So I guess I have three spare units which I can fill with 3rd year courses too.

That course will become an elective again, if I'm not mistaken.

Yes. When I last talked with Anna, I'm pretty sure she told me that it will become an elective-- and when you think about it, it makes sense, since you need a set number of units to graduate. I would email her ([email protected] a) to confirm.

Your degree audit will tell you what courses you will need to take. Check it out and it will answer your questions.
I was in the same position as you. You need to take another elective from that page they give you in first year. Because you already completed the course 1bb3, you need to fill up those 3 units through an elective and it cannot be replaced by a third year engineering course.
I saw my degree audit and it says Outstanding 3 units. What does that mean ??

I'm taking Environmental Economics and Economic Issues as my electives (second year commerce courses). They are okay in terms of workload and hardness. Many of the principals you learned in those classes are repeated again and again so its easy to understand these courses instead of starting something fresh like history or anthropology.
Depends what your into.

Does it have to be a first year elective or can it be an econ from another year for ex. ?
