eng phys
How many spots are available in eng phys, and is there any chance that the cut-off will magically be above a 4 this year? Because I've heard it's really easy to get into...

Agreed. If you're wanting to get into eng phys, I'm sure you'll do fine even if you had a minimal grade average. It's not exactly the most prime of interests for most of the first years (at least, most of those that I know).

Is there alot of focus on Quantum mechanics/phyics in Engineering Physics. Because thats what i'm really interested in learning. Right now, I am in high school. I'm coming to mac definitely but i can't make up mind. I have narrowed my choices down to two programs, Physical Sciences or Engineering (Engineering Physics). If anyone can help me decide which path to take, i would really appreciate that.

Well, I can't really give much insight into whether or not Engineering Physics contains a lot of quantum mechanics, since I'm only first year, but I can tell you that engineering physics will give you a lot more job opportunities in the future.

That sounds more like straight physics.

I know a few eng phys graduates right now - they've got jobs at TV stations making sure the feeds get through, and working ontario's nuclear power plants!

If youre really into research, either is good, but for a practical type job eng phys is probably the better selection....

yay robots!

There are also probably many opportunities for eng phys grads in Iran or North Korea.
