Engineering Leather Jacket Cost?
I'm planning on buying one this year, and I saw that they are going on sale on October 1st in JHE....but I have no idea how much they cost, I know it depends on how much stuff you add to it, like lettering and whatnot, but generally how much?

When I got mine in '07 it was $325 with 8 program letters and 2 numbers for free. It was I think 2 or 4$ for each extra character.

Make sure you don't get it before you have a program! It's bad luck!

Yep, anytime theyre back you can get yours modified, but you shouldnt get a jacket till your second year! It's bad luck I say!! (Meaning, most people dont get into the program they put on it!)

always made me laugh when I saw someone in my year that already got one. Saw one that just had eng on the one arm, still would think it is bad luck anyway.

No they certainly don't!! I've seen one from the 90s that was updated for my 2007 friend, and another one from ????? on a parent of a kid that used to go to my dance studio!

Just be warned that the seller guy has been known to be fairly snippy, especially at girls.

Anywho...Enjoy!! (They're very toasty)

If you plan on buying one for SURE, then I would buy it as soon as you enter second year. If you only buy it for your final year, that only gives you a year at school to wear it. If you buy it in your second year, you get more use out of it.

lol, I remember there was some guy in engineering walking around all first year with one that said "Electrical Engineering". Now he's in Software Engineering. Epic fail.

I'm still not gonna buy one of these things because it kind of makes you look like a douche :p. It also costs a ridonculous amount.

They're ready for pickup in mid-december as I recall.

I *think* I payed by cheque... they don't have any machines there, so they MAY take a credit card, but I think that would be it, besides cash.

Hey! I don't think they make you look like a douche! They're warm, and lots of engineering schools have an engineering leather jacket-type tradition. (Queens students think they're rich enough that they can bash theirs on the ground and throw paint on it though Our reponse? Jackets are expensive!Jackets are expensive!Jackets are expensive! haha)
