You're not even in university yet. If you keep at this pace you're gonna burn out by the end of your first term.

I'm with remember on this. You're setting yourself up for failure with this.

As hard as this may be to hear, going to classes and making your own notes is not only an amazingly good idea, it's expected of you in university. If you aren't even willing to do that, you are not going to make it here. If at any point you don't understand something from your own notes, that is when it is appropriate to ask your friends for their notes.

I see two things happening:
1) You'll be begging for spare time halfway through your first term, kinda like the spare time you have now.
2) If you do get someone else's notes, you're never gonna learn how to make them yourself and completely **** yourself over for the other 3-4 years.

Step 1: Go to the awesome Macinsiders course outlines section and find the relevant courses for 1st year eng and download the course outlines.

Step 2: Look at the required textbook which will be posted on the course outline.

Step 3: Buy the textbook off amazon or chapters. or if you're good at scavenging through google, find some free torrents/pdf copies.

Step 4: Read relevant material. (look through the outline and it will state relevant sections of the txt book)

Also if you can't find the course outline on here, then as stated above already, google is your best friend!

I disagree. However, its partially true.

I know some people who skip every lecture, tutorial, etc but still pull 11's and 12's. It all depends on your motivation and work ethics. If you study hard with all the time you have free from skipping, you will do fine. A lot of professors in engineering cannot teach well, so this is what most people end up doing anyways..
