Engineering Physics 1E03
Hey everyone, I just found out last night that I ended up failing 1E03 and am not sure what I can do. I have applied to software engineering and haven't failed any other courses, but it appears as though the only time this course is run is 2nd term on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. I actually just started a new job this week in a student engineering position, so if at all possible I'd like to keep that job as it is a good experience. Do I have any other options as far as taking an equivalent online at a different university, or do I have to choose between work and school? I have emailed student services but if there's anyone else I should try then any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Dan

You'll get conditional acceptance with the condition being that you pass that course before September. This means that you have to take it this summer and I'm pretty sure you'll have to take it at Mac.

I'm almost certain you have to fully complete Engineering I before you can go into any of the level 2 programs

I know some people who took 1st year chemistry in 2nd year, so thats not completely true.

My younger brother had the same problem, applying for software eng, with failing math. The academic advisers told him he needs to take the first year one this summer or he won't be able to take second year courses. That's what the academic advisers said.

Here is the list of pre-approved courses you can take at other Universities. Taking a quick look at that I don't see 1E03 which isn't surprising since you have labs and such.

What I would suggest is to book an appointment with an engineering Academic Advisor ASAP.

Do you know whether I can take the two 2nd year engineering math courses at UofT St. George campus?
All it says is this:
MATH MAT 235Y1 Calculus II MATH 2X03+2XX3 6
MATH MAT 237Y1 Multivariable Calculus MATH 2X03+2XX3 6

You should be able to kill the course when you take it in the summer.
