If Mech was your first choice and you didn't get it, then they're probably not going to let you in...

Also, when I was in the academic office the other day, I overheard that Sally is very sick and she hasn't been in lately. Perhaps that's why she's not answering her email.

Engineering will only say you are eligible for one program. It will be from your list of four, and the other three will say ineligible. We are not like other faculties where you get into most of your choices then pick. When you picked your programs in March, you ranked your preferences 1-4. The faculty lines all students up by grade average and then starts going through each students choices. When they get to your name, they look and see if your first choice has room. If not, they move onto your second choice, your third choice exc. The higher your average, the more likely you are to get your first choice. So if mech was your first choice and it gave you your second choice, your average was not high enough to get into mech (mech had a 6.7-6.9 I think in my year as min, but it changes from year to year based on demand). You can go talk to an academic adviser and see if they will change you, but if the spots are full, well its full. You may be out of luck

I think he/she put mech as his/her first choice. Sorry but the average to get in was 7.
