Registration worked for me at 8:10. I'm not sure if it was open before that or not

does how you rank the program affect your acceptance to it? or is it just so they have an idea how likely you will be to accept?

I'm not certain but I'd say in all likelihood that your order will have no effect.

Put them in the order of preference. Start with what you really want, then start your backups after that.

Hey does anyone know if you can apply to majors in your current program and also a major from another program that you want to get into? I know you need to fill out a change of program form but can you still apply and see if you are accepted first then complete the process for changing faculty?

You should apply to all majors that you want to get into. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "a major from another program that you want to get into"...as long as you have the prerequisites or you are planning to fulfill the prereqs over the summer, you are technically eligible for any program. The only thing that might involve something like a change of program form would be if you switched faculties or from/to very specific programs like engineering or kinesiology.

So for example, I see you are a life sciences student from your signature. You do NOT have to continue in life sciences; some life sciences students choose to go into other science programs, such as biology or biochemistry.

Actually, it does, depending on the program.
Some programs have, say, 50 slots for people who chose it as their first, and then 50 for people who chose it in 2, 3, 4th slots.

I was talking about switching into a program in another faculty.

It depends on how competitive the program is.
If they only allow a limited number of students, then yes, the order you put it in will matter.
