My brother took it last year and he said half of the questions were indecipherable.

Like, where am I supposed to meet on campus (at 8:30)?

I kind of lost my sheet from the mail.

Thanks

It's in JHE, there will be lists of who's writing where. No calculators btw. And I've heard it was 9am...but it couldn't hurt to show up earlier.

Good luck!!

One of the reasons I'm no longer an engineer. Enjoy!

Protip - score a free pencil/pen/whatever by borrowing one before the start of the test. Such is the difficulty of the test, that the jubilation of actually being able to finish it will render most people immune to a sense of property.
1) Pocket said borrowed object with impunity.
2) ???
3) profit!

They said in the letter that it is not for marks and will not be reflected in your marks in anyway whatsoever.

Except it's more a matter of testing your mettle as an Engineer. Such things have no marks.

Well I'm only in the faculty of Engineering and won't have any math courses starting in third year, so eh. Only math course I have in second year will be Stats, and I'm assuming that can't be really hard if you do all the homework/ask questions where appropriate unlike some other math courses which are just so abstract and different than what one would normally assume of a math course. Anyway, good luck to everyone writing it including myself, but I'm not studying for it. (they clearly also stated in the letter not to study..)

I failed this test when I wrote it. I couldn't get much further than the first few questions. You really gotta prepare for this one cause if you're on the edge of getting into your program they'll take this one into consideration.

They tell you not to study because its an aptitude test and they want to know your natural intelligence, not preparedness. That being said, study anyway.

Scary stuff. Such is the life of an engineer.
