Has anyone taken this course? What is it like in terms of interest, workload and difficulty?
Thanks!

This course hasn't been offered in at least the past two years since it's one of the open English courses, which are different every year.
BUT, if it's anything like the other open English courses, it'll be two essays and a final, or it'll have a midterm of some sort and a final. I would imagine the readings wouldn't be too bad either, and you can even get started this summer since you'll know what author to read, lol.

I'm currently stuck in this class, because the 1st year english courses I wanted were full...how hard is it for someone who hasn't taken any university level english to succeed in an upper year english course?

It's a lot harder, but it's been done before. If you aren't very strong in English I wouldn't recommend it though.
Just keep trying, I got into English 1A03 a couple days before school started.

If it's her novels, my guess would be Emma, Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice at least. Not sure how the course is structured though so I'm not too sure.

Hey
If anyone's taken this course, please let us know the difficulty level compared to say a first year course.
I took English 1B03 first year, which wasnt bad at all, and the other 2 first year english that I wanted to take have filled up. Hopefully they free up, but if they don't i wanna be prepared for this one.
