May as well, really. You'll cut down the prison population and get a new source of tax revenue.

Cannabis should be legalized - otherwise, alcohol and tobacco should be scheduled...

Do we also have the war against drugs in Canada like they do in the US? Apparently their prisons are so full of people that get caught for possession. Seriously, I wouldn't want my tax dollars to go towards people that get caught for possession of MJ.
By the way, is this for complete legalization or just medical?

Might as well, I think there are so many more things to worry about than pot.

Once one drug is legalized, then all the other more harmful and dangerous drugs will probably be legalized, and that's not a good thing.

I understand making highly addictive drugs illegal (in the end it would be the taxpayers job to help people who choose to get clean).
And if you're a straight edge punk, lose the straight edge attitude. It's the reason there is so much stigma attached to the straight edge scene, the superiority complex. (For the record, I'm not a straight edge punk)

Okay think about this: If for the bizarre reason we legalized heroin, there would be easier access to clean needles, reducing the risk of AIDS.

Makes perfect sense.
It's like legalizing gay marriage - what's gonna happen next - people marrying their cats and dogs - people marrying their motorcycles and trucks?!!?
MADNESS I SAY!!

This argument doesn't really work - drugs would presumably be considered on an independent basis, with a certain set of criteria. There's a reason that the issue of cannabis legalization is more politically and socially relevant than the issue of heroin legalization.
