English 3V06
I took this course in the 08-09 year. The professor was Dr. Silcox and she is a fantastic professor. She made the material interesting and lecture was enjoyable because there was always an occasion to laugh.
We covered various authors that spanned the 17th century. Here are some:
Bacon
Jonson
Milton
Donne
Lanyer
Herbert
Vaughan
Marvell
Phillips
There were two midterms, two essays and a final for the course. Midterms consisted of a poem that we had not discussed in class but was by an author we had studied, you were expected to break it down and explain the meaning using various methods we discussed.
