Exam Deferral Prerequisite Question
If you defer Chemistry 2OA3 exam, will you be able to take Chemistry 2OB3 next semester even though 2OA3 is a prerequisite?

No. You have a period after your exam in which you can defer. Check out mac's policy on that stuff to be clear or contact the department

I don't know when the exam is...but I think it's supposed to be no more than 7 days after. I don't remember if it's business days or normal days...I think 5 business days/7 normal days, but you can check on your faculty's website and in the course calendar.

The department does not assume you've failed, so you will be allowed to take the course until you write your deferral. However, depending on the reason you deferred the exam, I do not recommend taking 2OB3 until you're really comfortable with the 2OA3 content.

The reason I'm deferring is actually because I'm very sick. I currently have a 12 in the class (based on work done so far), so I think I should do well in 2OB3.

Are you sure? It's my final year, so it would be bad if I can't take 2OB3.
