Expansion Of Museum Passes Program

MacInsiders has been informed that the Museums Passes Program has been expanded so that now in addition to all Hamilton Civic Museums, the Art Gallery of Hamilton (thanks to RBC) and the Canadian Football Hall of Fame are now both included. All undergrads will have free regular admission during the school year to both these sites.

Thanks to Joe Finkle (SRA Humanities) for the tip!

Yes, the AGH has been free for two years, but they want to now include it as part of the Museum Passes Program.

Not sure, but I think MSU is for undergrads while the GSA is for graduates.

Well, maybe they have their own thing. I was going to go through the by-laws but I decided not to because it's so long and really has nothing to do with me.

Ya, sorry it is for undergrads only.
But maybe someone in the GSA could arrange the same thing for the grads?

Well but the question is will they REALLY look at your Student Id in detail when you go there?

I mean I'm normally against dishonest stuff, but in this case if you Graduate ID looks anything like something an Undergrad has then you could just flash it and visit a place of educational and cultural value(as compared to conning the Bus driver or something). Plus the agreement is for free with the MSU right?

I would not do that. I have worked hard to get students this and I would hate to have the program not renewed because it was being abused.
The main reason I have done this (other then that museums rock) is to help improve relations between the city and students, I want Mac students to lose the bad rep they have been getting. My guess is that if they find that some people, and esp. someone who is in a student leadership role is promoting dishonesty, they would be none too pleased.
