Hey,
I didn't work in first year just so i could get a feel for how much work I can handle. I worked in second year, and I'm doing a TA position in 3rd year. It gets pretty manageable. In 2nd and 3rd year I have 37 credits (did summer school to get rid of a class before 2nd and 3rd year). If you feel you can handle it go for it! Just make sure the hours aren't too high.

I heard Gabardo was the best of the three we had last year (Kovarik, Yapalparvi and Gabardo). I had Kovarik and rarely attended class. I guess there are new profs this year.
