Failed a course
Hi!

I failed a first year course, but my gpa is still high enough to get into my program of choice. I do not have time to complete a summer school class, am i able to take an extra course next year? Or do i need all my credits to get into my program (which is anthropology)

Let me know,

thanks

I believe you need certain amount of credits/courses to get into a specific program. If the failed course is not a prerequisite to getting into anthropology, and is just an elective, you can take a different elective later on next year or something. If it's a required course, i am not entirely sure, you'd have to talk to your academic advisor about it.

Why don't you just ask your academic counselor for up to date and exact information? They get paid with your money to help you, you know.

if your average is above 7.0 this year, you can contact your faculty adviser in June for an overload in the fall, but if not, then all students are approved to take up to 36 credits in final year to makeup for missed courses.
