Summer courses do count towards your cGPA as long as they're taken at McMaster, they just won't count towards your first-year sessional GPA.
Nothing will get rid of the 0 in your GPA, it's included as a grade of 0 in three units. So if you retake it and get a ten, you'll have (0+10)/6 = 5 over three units.
Calculating your cGPA is done the same way regardless of failures or summer courses.

It still counts as part of your cumulative average. The 0 still stays there in your cumulative average since CA factors all your courses from every year + summer.

Yes, it will influence your GPA and not just in first year, your GPA is cumulative from all years.
No, there is no way to erase it, unless you had very very good reason for failing /grounds to appeal the grade. Or, if you fail out of university and get reinstated.

You should really take the time to read the pertinent sections of the course calendar to familiarize yourself with the basics of how grading works.

It's not like high school anymore where if you retake it the new average overrides it. You get the average in a sense since the cumulative average does ur total score divided by total number of units. Say your average with the 0 was an 8 with 36 units (12 courses 3 units each). That means the sum of your scores was 288. If you repeat the course and got a 10, your new sum is 298 but it counts as another course so 39 units. New average is 7.6

Note that although the units count towards your AVERAGE, they do not count towards your DEGREE. You need to pass a course for it to count towards your degree lol.
