Failed a course. Retake?
Hi, I failed BIO 1M03 (lot's of family issues, i had trouble going to class, etc..), and I was wondering if I could retake it this term? I know it'd mean that I have an extra class this term, and that would be more work, but since I have taken it before, I do know a lot of the material already.... It is possible? I "tried" on mugsi and it was about to let me add it to my courses ( I didn't because I wasn't sure if it's "allowed")

Thank you!

Isn't today the last day for the add drop session ? You should have talked to the councilors in BSB. I am sure its allowed, but they might not let you increase your course load over 100% which is essentially 30 units this term. You can try but I am not sure.

This course is guaranteed to be available in the summer. Why not take it then?

The add/drop deadline hasn't passed yet! It's tomorrow at midnight so try to contact someone in the biology department asap or even drop by their office tomorrow morning. There's also the option to take it in the summer. Dr. Kajiura teaches it during the summer and you won't put too much pressure on yourself this term so you can focus on doing well in your other courses if you prefer that.

Have you talk to your professor?

Let the person know you have been experience X and would like to know if you can do anything to pull it up to a pass.

If not, I would ask for the procedure on getting the grade exempted. Basically its a delayed dropped that would show a canceled instead of a failed.

With enough good reason and proof, they _might_ let you through.
