Your GPA is lowered and you will now have an F permanently on your transcript. You'll also be behind on a course which you'll have to make up for.
But if it was just an elective you shouldn't have to worry about continuing in your program, but you should talk to a guidance councilor.

if u failed any course u should talk to your academic counselor because depending on ur program it can hinder u from continuing in that programing in the coming school year.

Honestly, there's nothing you can do about it now, just learn from your mistake and kill all the courses this semester to make up for it.
