So reading forum posts about a 17 year old failing his first year courses makes you feel better about yourself? Wait, why am I still talking to you?

Just ignore all the hate. I wish you all the best and I hope that everything works out for you. Remember that this is only an obstacle and that in the end, it will make you a better person. Take time over the break to just breathe and get ready for next semester.

TroubleStorm is an idiot, he's in 2nd year commerce and deferred all of his exams. Pay him no mind.

I hadn't actually deferred anything, didn't go through with it.

Let me know if your approval for deferral is not accepted. The chair Dr Bontis is a good friend of mine and have told him about your shady behaviour. Good Luck

I doubt you're friends, lol. You sent him an email or something trying to tip him off. Thats pretty rat bro but I didn't end up deferring anything so its a wasted effort.

Flop!

I BBM'd him, an email from another student would be meaningless.

Whoops, wrong thread haha, but yeah, speaking with an academic advisor or associate dean can really put things into perspective.

Also wanted to point out that there's a first year course offered next term, Med Phys 1E03. It's essentially a sweeping introduction to some of the physics you'd be studying over the next three years.

I can't recall if it has any pre-requisites or not...but if you're able to register, I'd recommend doing so. If you love the course, Med Phys is a good fit, but if not...

Good luck!

I'm kind of in the same position as you.....except i've been working my ass off all year and haven't gotten the grades that I've wanted whatsoever except in my elective course which won't really do too much for me in the future. I am afraid of failing two of my courses, one of which was my fault because I did my scantron wrong for one of my midterms but for my other course, I can confidently say that my TA screwed me over. I handed in 3 things for a regrade but I'm not sure where to go from here. I''ve had a lot of personal problems in the last few months and yes, they've greatly affected my motivation and ability to study and work but I still do it, but I am still not getting the grades.
I never thought I'd say this, but i'm actually scared of failing out of mac.
I can't be too sure how I did on my other courses until our marks come out but at the same time, i'm not completely confident.
Anyone have any suggestions on studying/working in different ways for next semester?......If i'm allowed in lol :(
So scared, worried, and terrified.....:thumbs down:

you cannot get kicked out second semester regardless of how bad your marks are. If you are below a 3 GPA at the end of second semester, you will not be able to return.
