Favourite Album(s)? (Recommendations Welcome)
Not necessarily looking for a Top # List, but name some of your favourite album(s) with a brief explanation as to why. I’m really interested in seeing the range of musical tastes the Mac community has. I’ll try to check them out and maybe I’ll end up digging them to which I say thank you. I listen to a wide range of music btw, from Bach to Yeah Yeah Yeahs to Slayer.

Jane Doe by Converge: Never have I ever listened to an album that was as cathartic as this. Lyrically potent and intense in delivery, it’s like a burst of pent up thoughts and emotions that at the end of everything surprisingly doesn’t leave you feeling empty.

White Pony by Deftones: There are multiple versions of this album, but regardless all are fantastic. There’s a depth and atmosphere to this album that I still can’t find in others to parallel it.

(What’s the Story) Morning Glory? by Oasis: Each song is distinct and with its melodies and moments of balladry earworms are the result. I’m not much of a fan or listener of Britpop but this takes the cake.

Okay well, I'm going to let loose with this. My friends tell me I have odd taste, but that's probably because my parents are Jamaican, heh. (I do love Bob Marley though.)

Only By The Night - Kings of Leon
I'm in love with this album currently. The songs are sexy, sometimes emotional (but not in a my-girlfriend-left-me-she's-a-biatch kind of way) each song has it's own distinct sound, and you just want to sing along or dance. The lead singer has a great voice, and there are a lot of great riffs in some songs, and awesome verses/choruses in others.

The Photo Album - Death Cab for Cutie; Transatlaticism - Death Cab for Cutie
I like the majority of Death Cab's songs on all their albums, I currently have 80 songs from them. But these two albums have a lot of songs that I fell in love with, and could listen to over and over. There's just a really beautiful quality about Death Cab.

Almost Here - The Academy Is... ; Santi - The Academy Is...
While this is leaning more towards my-girlfriend-left-me-she's-a-biatch, it's still bearable and has the really great sound. I especially love the songs 'Slow Down' and 'We've Got a Big Mess on Our Hands'

You Forgot It In The People - Broken Social Scene
This band just has awesome sound, and have very catchy songs. This album is my favourite of theirs, and I like almost every song on it.

Turn On the Bright Lights - Interpol; Antics - Interpol
You might think the vocalist has a monotone voice, but it's not really, and it really works for their songs. Every one of their songs has a nice catchy head-bopping sound. They sort of remind me of Franz Ferdinand, who also have great stuff.

Hopes and Fears - Keane; Under The Iron Sea - Keane
This band sorrrt of reminds me of Coldplay (who are also so awesome). Keane's songs can be so heart breakingly emotional (not the girlfriend thing again); and can also be very catchy and makes you want dance.

In The City - Kevin Rudolf
Um, ridiculously good album. His songs are so sexy and have great riffs, I don't even know. Really great to work out to though.

Other bands I won't go into because I'm rambling: Coldplay, The Killers, Lostprophets (their earlier stuff), Maroon 5, Muse, Pinback, Straylight Run, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Strokes, The Fray, 30 Seconds to Mars, Franz Ferdinand.

lol Dude. This is the truth though. The new stuff he is bringing out is just to stay relevant. Since The black album, he has been on all time low. Blueprint 3 was 80% featured. Hes blabbering about being best all the time...hes not even close second. May be the best businessman in the rap game but not mc!

And I don't even know who gave em the right to bash auto tune lol. It's almost as bad as soulja boy rappin with snoop dogg. Go figure lol

Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd - Love every song on this album.
Physical Graffiti - Led Zeppelin - All my favourite Zeppelin songs are in this album
Boston - Boston
Hotel California - The Eagles - 'nuff said
The Very Best of Yes - Yes
Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd
AC/DC - Back in Black
Crime of the Century - Supertramp
Spirit of the Radio: Greatest Hits - Rush - They've made over 30 albums. Hard to choose one :/ I picked the greatest hits.
