First day of classes?
It's september 6, right? no lectures before that? o.o
.. and I don't need to do anything else until then? (except maybe get a free calender from student center lolol)
I already paid and got my timetable... I should just go to my first lecture on sept. 6, umm like at 8:20?

Yes. Action becomes habit, never skip a class in university. I couldn't imagine you actually learning anything 'useful' the first day, but from the professor's perspective, its really irritating to have people skip the orientation and be out of sync with expectations and come up asking all sorts of dumb questions that were already covered.

You might as well; it's only one class, and you can spend the rest of your day doing whatever you like. It also forces you to get up early and get into the habit of getting up early.

I have absolutely no problem going to it lol!
I was just verifying whether september 6 was in fact that real *first* day of classes and whether anything else needed to be done before then

Just go and grab the course outline. Most likely nothing will be taught. If they teach then just stay.

It's really up to you whether on not you want to do anything before the first day of classes.

You can find out what textbooks you need for your courses using the Mcmaster Titles website. Then you can determine total cost and how you want to buy them (used or unused).

Or you can print out course outlines if they are posted early on avenue2learn.

Depends on how prepared you want to be in advance. Nothing mandatory to do though.

Yes, yes it is.

a simple search for mcmaster's calendar on google would have provided the calendar that would show that it is indeed thursday... i swear no one makes any effort to find anything out for themselves
