First year and dealing with MUGSI and SOLAR
I have to say that MUGSI and SOLAR are so difficult to work with.
Not only does it crash on me multiple times, but it's SO SLOW.

It's a day after and ALL of the electives are taken, literally, ALL OF THEM ARE TAKEN.
Even CHINESE.

What do I do? Even some of my mandatory courses are full, and I need them. This is getting so frustrating, I'm gonna burst a blood vessel.

My options? I know some people will drop and change course... but how do I change it if I already pay for my time table?

You just pay for the number of units...so if you take 30 random units of whatever, and then switch all the courses around but at the end of it you're still taking 30 units, then it doesn't affect your payment at all.

Oh ok great, thanks Lauren..
At least that gives me a glimmer or hope during the first week that people might drop the courses I want.
For now, I will be stuck with lame ones like Women Studies or like Ojibwe...

Actually, courses cost different amounts depending on which faculty they belong to. You can reconfirm your payment agreement as many times as you want though.

No, it's based on the faculty you're in, not the one the course is offered by. I've taken courses that are offered in other faculties, and I'm charged the same amount as I would for any course offered by the faculty of science. There's a chart on the registrar somewhere.

I guess they changed it, last year it was based on the courses the faculty belonged to.
