First Year Courses in Upper Years
I was wondering what the restrictions are in terms of taking first year courses in 2nd-4th year. Are we allowed to take only a specific number per year or is there a credit limit over our undergraduate degree (E.g. 45 credits of first year courses over 4 years)? Thanks!

depends on your program. some have a max number of first year courses you can take.

I'm in Honours Life Sciences and I've read on macinsiders that there is a 48 credit restriction however I can't seem to find that in the undergraduate calendar. I was wondering whether the 48 credit restriction still stands for first year courses

It stil stands. It's a note under each of the programs in the undergrad calendar. So after your first 30 units in first-year, you're basically left with 18 units that can count towards your degree. You can take more, they just wont count towards your degree.

"Limit on Level I Courses: In most Faculties, you may not obtain credit in more than 42 units of Level I courses in a three-level program, or more than 48 units in a four-level program."
