Also, does it change how much I receive if I live off campus commute / off campus housing? I know that living on residence would probably be the most

Yes, there is! There's a question that will ask you if you are going to be living with your parents during the school year. If you pick no, then I would assume that they know that you are going to be living by yourself and maybe add a bit more to your funding to help you with the rent.
