Housing and Conference Services has officially changed their fridge policy for the 2010-2011 academic year!

2010-2011 will be the last year that students living in residence will be able to bring their own fridge; for all subsequent years students will need to rent one from Coldex.

I'm happy for the first years and fourth years and anybody new to res who won't be returning or anybody with a fridge already but since I am new, will probably be returning, and I don't have a fridge, Coldex it'll be.

can anyone confirm if it's one fridge per room? or are we allowed to have more then one if you have a roommate

They do not encourage more than one per room, but for this year they will not be enforcing any aspect of the new policy. So in short, you can each have a fridge if you want for this year.

I had already purchased a fridge for the upcoming year so this is a monkey off my back. The whole policy last minute thing is rediculous.

While this may seem great for now, people next year and onwards are gonna have to pay. Now that the student body has revealed all of the holes in their policies they will most likely patch it all up so there's no more going back.

One last year to enjoy our own fridge! Cheers!

All the students deserve congrats, of course! Without students voicing their opinions there would actually be NO WAY that anything would actually have happened.

So.. congratulations to everyone who spoke out! Postponing the policy seemed to coincide EXACTLY with when all your letters to the President started coming in! I'm *guessing* they had an effect?

Student leaders are nothing without student voices and opinions. Remember that!
