fun/easy musical courses
I think as a grad student I get one free class a year, so I want to do something fun, like learn guitar or piano or something. Does anyone have any suggestions? All I really care about it is that its fun and easy (assignment and grade wise) at the same time. If you have something non-musical id like to hear it too.

I am a pianist myself so I find that piano is a fantastic option. You only need to bring the books with you places so you don't have to carry an instrument. You also do not have to buy an instrument, strap or picks and other things to play piano. Pianos are everywhere, I am sure you will find one to practice on. I like piano because you can be so expressive with it. The range of notes is like having an orchestra at your fingertips. I find it is a great way to unwind because you can create whatever you want with it.

I am not saying don't go for guitar but piano just gives you a wider range of repertoire and I find it to be more satisfactory than guitar. I hope I helped!
