G Road Test around Mcmaster
My licence is about to expire and I have to book my G test. I can take my test in either Burlington, Hamilton or Oakville but since I am not from Hamilton, I have no idea which testing center is the easiest. Any tips?

Also, I have not had really any practice on the highway and I do not have my own car for the test. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions of good and CHEAP driver training places in the area? Specifically on top of the Hamilton mountain.

Thanks guys

There's also Guelph which you've left out, and I would say that is the easiest! I've heard it from other people too so just not me saying it.. also in terms of highway, for your G test you just have to merge onto a "road" highway with a speed limit of 80 which is pretty normal

Good luck!

I'd definitely recommend Burlington. The Hamilton one is actually pretty far from Mac (the Burlington one takes less time to get to) and I found the Burlington one much fairer.

It's not so much about where you have your test taken as it is who you have it with and at what time.. try to schedule it outside of rush hour times, but right at the end of the work day on a Friday will give you less of a chance of failing because the tester just wants to go home... also it's either Brantford or Brampton, one of the two is known to have wider than usual lanes and has an advantageous on ramp situation (I don't recall what, exactly) that makes the test easier overall.

Also, never use a random car, make it something you're comfortable with. It helps if its an instructor's car you've been driving with for several hours, the car you're going to be driving on a regular basis, or just one you have a chance to practice with. Most instructors will charge around a hundred bucks to use it for the test.
